Luggage and Parcel Scales: A Buying Guide for Travel Retail
Capacity, hook type, grip, units and battery life — how to choose hanging scales for luggage, parcels and courier counters.

The 50 kg class covers most uses
Most luggage and parcel scales sit in the 50 kg class with a 10 g display step. That covers checked bags, courier parcels, produce sacks and small freight. In our line the DH-C023, DH-C025, DH-C028 and DH-C030 all share the 50 kg/10 g platform and differ in how they attach to the load.
Hook, strap or grip handle
The attachment decides the use case. A metal hook on a short chain suits bags with a handle loop. A long hook with a folding grip reaches around straps. A wide grip handle with a buckle strap holds odd shapes. The DH-C030 adds an LED lamp and a built-in 102 cm tape measure for parcel dimensions.
Units your market quotes in
Hanging scale unit sets vary: the DH-C023 and DH-C025 list kg, lb, jin and oz, while the DH-C028 lists g, lb, oz and kg. If your market quotes freight in pounds, confirm the lb mode; if it quotes in jin, check that too.
Power and auto-off
Most of the line runs on two AAA batteries; the DH-C030 uses three. Ask how the scale behaves when it sleeps mid-weighing, and confirm the tare procedure, because a bag or sling is often tared out before the load.
Plan the carton
Carton counts in this line are 80 to 100 pieces, so a first order can stay compact. Check carton dimensions and gross weight before comparing freight quotes.
