How to Read a Digital Scale Specification Sheet
Capacity ladders, unit sets, pan size, power supply and carton data — the five blocks that decide whether a quoted model actually fits your market.

The five blocks of a scale spec sheet
Scale catalogs are dense because each model carries a full technical table. Read it in five blocks: capacity and precision, units, dimensions, power supply, and packing. Everything a buyer needs to compare models lives in those blocks, and each one hides a common misread.
Block one: capacity and precision form a ladder
A range like 3kg/0.1g, 5kg/0.1g, 10kg/1g is not one accuracy figure — it is three. The first number is the maximum load, the second is the display step at that capacity. A model can read 0.01 g at 500 g and only 0.1 g at 5 kg. Always match the step to the capacity at which your buyers actually weigh, which is why the DH-I200 lists six ladders from 200g/0.01g to 3kg/0.1g.
Block two: the unit set is a market-fit question
Units decide whether a scale sells at all. Metric markets need g and kg; North American shelves expect lb:oz; liquid measurements need ml and fl:oz; jewelry counters quote in ct, tl, ozt and dwt. Model coverage varies: the DH-A11 carries five units, the DH-C305 nine, the DH-A05 seven and the DH-958 five. Compare the exact list, not the count.
Block three and four: dimensions and power
Product size and pan size are listed separately, and they are not interchangeable — a 23 x 16 x 2 cm body may carry a 19 x 16 cm pan. Power supply decides the retail channel: two AAA batteries are the default across the line, a USB charging version is offered on many kitchen and jewelry models, coin cells (CR2032) drive the slimmest pocket scales, and the DH-C030 runs on three AAA cells.
Block five: packing decides landed cost
Carton count and gross weight are the numbers that change your freight per unit. Across the 20 models we stock, master cartons range from 20 to 200 pieces, and gross weights follow accordingly - 20 pieces per carton on the DH-A11 versus 200 on the DH-333. Compare those two columns before comparing quotation totals.
